This is Rajasthan’s third win in seven matches and they are sixth in the table. Hyderabad, on the other hand, has suffered their sixth defeat in seven matches and are eighth and last in the table.

Opener Jose Butler (124) ‘s brilliant and aggressive century helped Rajasthan Royals beat Sun Riser Hyderabad by 55 runs in a one-sided IPL match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium here on Sunday. Rajasthan scored a strong 220 for three in 20 overs, while new captain Kane Williamson captained Hyderabad to 165 for eight. This is Rajasthan’s third win in seven matches and they are sixth in the table. Hyderabad, on the other hand, has suffered their sixth defeat in seven matches and are eighth and last in the table.

Player of the Match Butler played brilliant innings of 124 off 64 balls with the help of 11 fours and eight sixes. After the wicket of opener Yashvi Jaiswal (12) fell to just 17, Butler formed a big partnership of 150 runs for the second wicket with captain Sanju Samson. Samson scored 48 off 33 balls with four fours and two sixes and the team was bowled out for 167 in the 17th over.

Butler then added 42 for the third wicket with Ryan Prague (not out 15) to take Rajasthan to 209 runs. Prague scored 15 not out off eight balls with the help of a six and David Miller scored seven runs off three balls with the help of a six to take Rajasthan to 220 runs. Rajasthan’s score of 14 extra runs was still important.

For Hyderabad, Sandeep Sharma took one wicket for 50 runs in four overs, Vijay Shankar took one wicket for 42 runs in three overs while Khalil Ahmed did not get any wicket for 41 runs in four overs. League spinner Rashid Khan took one wicket for 24 runs in four overs.

For Hyderabad, Manish Pandey top-scored with 31 off 20 balls with three fours and two sixes while Johnny Barstow hit 30 off 21 balls with four fours and a six. Captain Ken Williamson scored 20 off 21 balls with the help of a four.

Vijay Shankar scored eight, Kedar Jadhav 19, Muhammad Nabi 17, and Abdul Samad 10 runs. None of the Hyderabad batsmen managed to play big innings. In the bottom row, Bhuvneshwar Kumar scored 14 not out while Sandeep Sharma scored 8 not out. Hyderabad lost their wickets in a row after a good start of 57 runs. Captain Williamson was dismissed for 105 and Hyderabad’s struggle ended with his dismissal.

For Rajasthan, Mustafizur Rehman took three wickets for 20 runs in four overs and Chris Morris took three wickets for 29 runs in four overs and put the victory in the swing of Rajasthan.
