The second ODI of the three-match series between Pakistan and England will be played today at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, but the toss has been delayed due to rain. Intermittent rain is also forecast in London today due to which the match is likely to be disrupted.
The Lord’s Stadium Twitter account said light rain was expected during the match. This situation may affect the match and a 50 overs match may not be possible. It may be recalled that in the first match of the series, England defeated Pakistan by nine wickets.
England won the toss and decided to bat first. Pakistan was bowled out for 141 in 35.2 overs. In reply, England easily achieved the target of 142 runs in 21.5 overs at a loss of just one wicket.
This is England captain Ben Stokes‘ 100th ODI and he is currently leading a team with many inexperienced players. The reason for this was that before the start of the series, the England team went into isolation due to the concerns of Code 19, and then England has added many new players to the team.
It is to be noted that the Pakistan team will play three ODIs and three T20 matches in England tour. You can check the schedule of the Pakistan tour of England.
